This week, during National Asthma Awareness month, Las Vegas is hosting the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, where attendees gather to gain the latest insights into technology developments, and tout their companies’ commitments to zero-emission clean truck technology.

Daimler and Volvo Trucks are top sponsors of this event, and regularly boast publicly about their “green” credentials.

But their work behind the scenes tells a very different story. These companies are actively involved in fighting against state and federal policies that would help clean up diesel pollution from trucks and buses.

Diesel pollution is killing us. Volvo Trucks and Daimler want to greenwash their operations, continue to pollute, and hope we look the other way.

If these companies want to truly champion pollution free solutions, they should ramp up their advocacy for policies that accelerate adoption instead of hindering it.

Our lives are at stake. So, we must ask the question to Daimler and Volvo Trucks: whose side are you on?

Our lives are at stake. Daimler and Volvo Trucks:
It’s time to stop fighting against life-saving clean trucks policy.
